Mellody Hobson is an investment banker, financial analyst and education advocate. She is the President of Ariel Investments which currently has $13.1 billion under management, was named one of Time's 100 Most Influential People in 2015 and currently sits on the Boards of the Chicago Public Education Fund and the George Lucas Education Foundation to name a few.
Currently, she is spearheading a push that is advocating for more diversity amongst the ranks of finance professionals to include more women and people of color. We at IIG celebrate her achievements and the work she is doing to increase representation in the finance field.
